QuickBooks
Connect Bias to QuickBooks Online to sync invoices created in QuickBooks to Bias for payment collection.
Connecting
- In the Bias dashboard, go to Settings → Integrations and click Connect QuickBooks.
- Sign in to your Intuit account and choose the company you want to connect.
- Authorize Bias by clicking Connect.
You’ll be redirected back to Bias, and the QuickBooks card will show a Connected status.
What’s synced
| Entity | Direction | Trigger |
|---|---|---|
| Invoices | QuickBooks → Bias | An invoice is created, updated, voided, or deleted in QuickBooks |
| Customers | QuickBooks → Bias | Pulled in automatically with their invoice |
| Payments | Bias → QuickBooks | An invoice is marked paid in Bias |
A few details worth knowing:
- Draft and open invoices stay in sync: Edits made in QuickBooks keep syncing while an invoice is still draft or open. Once an invoice is paid in Bias, later changes in QuickBooks are no longer applied.
- Discounts: When a QuickBooks invoice has negative line items below a positive item of greater value, Bias records them as a discount.
- Credit notes: When a QuickBooks invoice has negative line items that don’t look like discounts (for example, a credit or return), Bias records them as a credit note.
Disconnecting
To disconnect, go to Integrations, click the ⋯ menu next to QuickBooks, and choose Disconnect. Bias will end the connection and stop syncing with QuickBooks. Any data that has already synced stays in Bias. You can reconnect at any time.
Limitations
- A QuickBooks company can only be connected to one Bias environment at a time.
- The integration covers invoices, their customers, and payments. Products, prices, and other records are not synced.
