Checkout links

Share a link that opens Checkout for the items you choose.

A checkout link is reusable. Each visit starts its own checkout, so you can post one link on your site, in an email or in a chat and every customer who opens it pays separately. A customer who comes back to the link before finishing picks up where they left off.

Start from any of these:

  • On Payments, click New payment, then Create checkout link.
  • On a product’s page, choose Create checkout link from the product’s menu. The link starts with the product’s default price.
  • In a product’s Prices, choose Create checkout link from a price’s menu. The link starts with that price.

Then:

  1. Under Items, add the prices and quantities the customer buys. You can mix one-time and recurring prices. All recurring prices must bill on the same period.
  2. Under Checkout, choose the options you need:
    • Start with a free trial: shown when an item is recurring. Set the trial length in days.
    • Allow discount codes: customers can enter a discount code. Not available with a trial.
    • Collect shipping address
    • Redirect after payment: customers are sent to your URL once they’ve paid.
  3. Click Create link.

Bias copies the link to your clipboard. Save it somewhere: the dashboard doesn’t list checkout links after they’re created.

What customers see

The link opens Checkout with your branding and the items and quantities you chose.

A checkout page for a monthly plan, with the renewal terms under the Subscribe button

A link with a recurring price starts a subscription when the customer pays. They agree to the renewal terms at checkout, and with a trial the first charge happens when the trial ends.

Links created in a sandbox work only with test payment methods.
